I’ve been releasing my latest albums on cassette tape, which generates some curiosity and surprise among the more unsuspecting. The truth is that, with the changes in the ways we consume music, the disaster that is streaming, the decline of the CD, and the production costs of vinyl, much of the independent music scene has turned to this format. On the one hand, it allows for smaller print runs; on the other hand, let’s be honest, it’s cool-as-fuck.
As a music lover, I’ve been expanding my personal collection with some of these editions and I’m loving it. If you want advice, grab one of those second-hand players and support the scene.
