It is rather this third object over which neither the artist nor the spectator has absolute power. The power shared by spectators and performers is to interpret what each experiences in their own way, to create connections based on their own intellectual journey. Each of these intellectual adventures is grounded in thought, in the creation of meaning, and in sharing. An unexpected interplay of connections and ruptures. A community of storytellers and translators. Capable of inventing their own language for this translation and this retroversion. The effect of which transcends any attempt at explanation or circumscription.
